Midcoast Maine

Your work, done right.
No agency required.

A website that loads when you have a weak signal. Emails that get opened. I handle the tech — you run your business.

Honest scope.

I'll tell you upfront what I can do and what I can't. If it's something I need to figure out, that's on my dime — not yours.

Real timelines.

I give you a real finish date and keep you in the loop if anything changes. No phantom deadlines.

No surprises.

The price in the proposal is the price you pay. If something changes, we talk about it before any extra work starts.

Work I've done — under NDA, but the names speak for themselves

What I do

Three services. Done well.

I don't try to do everything. I picked three areas I'm good at and I stay in my lane — and when something needs building that doesn't exist yet, I'll build it.

Web Design & Development

A site that looks good, loads when you've got one bar of cell service, and works on every phone. You'll be able to update it yourself — no developer needed day-to-day. Every build includes written documentation and a training walkthrough.

Email Design & Development

Automated emails that go out when they should, say the right thing, and look great in every inbox. From a simple welcome sequence to a full campaign system. I've built these at enterprise scale for Wyndham.

SEO

Help people find you on Google. I make sure your site is structured the right way, loads fast (which Google rewards directly), and says the things your customers are actually searching for.

Why I don't use WordPress

WordPress has a plugin for everything — and each one has a monthly bill.

I chose a different stack specifically so I can build what you need instead of renting it forever. Calendly is $10–16/month. Eventbrite takes 6.6% + $1.79 off every ticket. For something you'll use for years, building it once often costs less than 12 months of subscriptions — and you own it. If you already have tools you rely on, I'll work with those instead. We'll figure out what makes sense before anything gets scoped.

Booking calendar

Calendly is $10–16/month. Build it once, own it.

Event ticketing

Eventbrite takes 6.6% + $1.79 per ticket. That adds up.

Customer portal

Client login, order history, account info — built to your specs.

Contact forms & CRM

Capture leads the way your business actually works.

How we work together

Here's what we'll do.

We talk

A short call, no pressure. Tell me what you need. I'll tell you if I can do it and roughly what it would cost.

You get a proposal

A written document with exactly what I'll build, when it'll be done, and what it costs. You can ask questions, request changes, or sign and go.

I build it

Regular check-ins so you can see progress and give feedback before anything is finalized. No big reveals at the end.

Training, docs, and launch

Before we go live, I walk you through everything. You get written documentation to keep. Then we launch — and I'm still here after.

What tools I'll use

Built around your project.

Every project is different, so the tools get chosen accordingly. These are the ones I reach for most — reliable, fast, and cheap to run. If you already use something you want to keep, we'll work with it. Most clients pay under $20/month out of pocket once the site is live. I also offer a monthly maintenance option for updates and anything that comes up — something we'd agree on upfront.

Astro

The framework used to build your site. Think of it as the software that turns your content into fast, clean web pages — it only sends what's needed to each visitor, which is why the pages load so quickly.

No ongoing cost

Cloudflare

Where your site lives. It copies your pages to servers around the world, so visitors load from the one nearest to them — fast everywhere, including rural Maine.

Free to start — no ongoing bill for most sites

Image optimizer

Every photo you upload gets compressed automatically. It looks sharp but loads fast — no extra work on your end, happens every time you publish.

Built in

CloudCannon

Your editing dashboard. Log in, click on any text or image on your site, change it, hit publish. No calls to me for small updates — it works like a simple word processor for your site.

Small monthly fee — billed directly to you

Fathom Analytics

Shows you how many people visited, where they came from, and what they looked at — without storing personal data or sharing anything with Google's ad network.

Included in every build

GitHub + auto-deploy

A running backup of everything. Every change I make gets saved automatically. If something ever goes wrong, restoring it is one click. Updates go live the moment I push them.

Free

Dubsado

How I send proposals, collect signatures, and invoice — it also powers the inquiry form on this page. If you run a service business and want a clean system for managing your own clients, I can set this up for you too.

My cost for running projects — optional setup available for your business

Built for Maine

Your site should load
even with two bars.

You know how you pull up a local business on your phone and it just… sits there? That's not a you problem — it's how the site was built.

Most sites around here are slow because they're built on old platforms packed with things nobody needs. I build differently — leaner, faster. The kind of site that loads before your visitor gives up.

If your site doesn't hit 95 or higher before launch, we don't launch. Not a target — a guarantee.

Andy Wolff — Midcoast Maine

I've been building websites, email systems, and software since 2017. Enterprise software and national marketing campaigns for household names. Global email programs at scale. Small and mid-size business sites built to last. I work alone. When you hire me, you get me — not an account manager or a junior developer. From first call to launch.

FAQ

Questions I get asked.

Can I see examples of your work?

A lot of what I've built is covered by NDAs — enterprise software and ticketing systems for Kubota, Hilton, Hyatt, and Syngenta; email systems for Wyndham. I can walk through any of it on a call. Local client sites get added to this page as they launch.

What if I need something you haven't built before?

I'll tell you honestly whether I can do it, whether I'd need to figure it out, or whether it's genuinely outside what I can deliver. If it's something I need to learn, that's on my dime — not yours.

What's it like working with just one person?

Easier, honestly. You call or email me, I answer. No one in between taking notes and passing them along. If something needs to change, we just change it.

How much does it cost?

Every project is different, so I don't post prices. What I can tell you: you'll get a flat price in writing before any work starts. No hourly billing, no mystery fees at the end.

What happens after my site launches?

You get written documentation and a training walkthrough of everything — how to update content, how to read your traffic, who to call if something breaks. You won't be handed a login and left to figure it out.
